The UIC PP790:How to combine security and performance in the same device.

UIC, a Taiwanese Leader in design and development of system banking solutions, has just launched a secure PINPAD named PP790SE Series driven by the USIP® solution from Innova Card, a provider of secure hardware and software solutions for trusted terminals.

The PP790SE Series meets the very latest hardware security standards, EMV and PCI PED, offering optimal interoperability and security during Chip & PIN transactions. Through USIP®, it will ensure secure PIN entry, online and offline PIN verification and data secure processing.

The PP790SE Series embeds the USIP® platform, a single chip with secure and fast 32-bit processor including Memories Management Unit, communication interfaces, and security modules.

This highly secure PIN entry device performs PIN encryption/verification and data encryption/decryption via DES, 3DES, MAC, DUKPT, RSA algorithms. It therefore ensures maximum security during PIN code entry and data transmission.

In addition, the PP790SE Series is protected against physical attacks thanks to USIP® built-in security modules such as tamper detection and sensitive data erasing mechanisms.

The UIC PP790SE PINPAD combines security and performance to address specific needs of both the EMV transactions in security and speed, meeting PCI PED requirements.
